Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam - "If I Take You Home"
Ah, the video that inspired a thousand bad hair cuts in my grade school... Lisa Lisa's hair is still atrocious, but the song is still as slammin' as it ever was. And I know you still know all the words.

Obama's "More Perfect Union" Speech
Delivered on March 18th, at the Philadelphia Constitution Center. It's just over 37 minutes long and worth every single second. If you haven't watched it yet, consider it mandatory viewing.
It is probably one of the most important and beautiful speeches in recent memory, on race, political divisiveness and broader issues Americans face today. With this single speech, Barack Obama has dwarfed all competition and laid the groundwork for a brighter, more united future.
All I can say in response is "Hello, Mr, President!"

This classic clip from Sesame Street, circa 1972, is so ingrained on my memory that, to this day, every time i go to the grocery store, I go through the list: "a loaf of bread, a container of milk, and a stick of butter", despite the fact that I almost never purchase any of these items.
