The whole Don Imus thing has raised the debate on what can be considered acceptable speech on public airwaves. While Imus has been punished and reprimanded for his remarks, there are still a lot of broadcasters who actively engage in a much harsher form of intentional bigotry, xenophobia and misogyny on a daily basis.
In the video linked above, from last night's Countdown, Keith Olberman and Jesse Jackson discuss the issue of what is to be done to handle offensive speech in broadcasting, from this point on.
