In a speech in Iowa City the other day, Barack Obama promised that, if elected president, he will sign a universal healthcare bill into law by the end of his first term.
While his promises sound great, there just isn't a heck of a lot of substance in this particular clip. Maybe it's just too early in the campaign for detailed plans, but, boy, would I love to hear some. If Barack can lay out reasonable, feasible plans to attain any of the main democratic platforms this election, he can win this in a heartbeat.
