Ron Paul - Not "Republican" Enough

The republicans held their second round of debates last night on Fox News. From what I've seen, it was about as disgusting as you'd imagine. Their questions focussed heavily on pandering to the radical base. So it comes as no surprise that Congressman Ron Paul - AKA the only reasonable and rational man on the stage - came under fire for agreeing with the vast majority of Americans, that the US should pull out of Iraq and adopt a diplomatic foreign policy. The only shocker for me was that they didn't chase him out of there with pitchforks and torches.

Here, he is asked if he is "running for the nomination of the wrong party".

Here, Rudy Giuliani opens his fat ignorant trap and says some stupid shit that makes me want to punch him in his idiot face.

Seriously, though, why is Ron Paul a republican? Doesn't he know they hate educated people?

I think Ron is a republican because as much as his anti war policy doesn't fit in with the republicans, can you imagine someone who believes in the least amount of government in all forms of life to fit with the democrats? The democrats these days are getting closer and closer to citing Marx on the Podium, and I believe Ron is a conservative who has expanded his ideas about a small conservative government to include non-intrusiveness and non-interventionism. These actually are logical conclusions that follow from the small government ideal. It is only unfortunate that the majority of republicans aren't logical.
