Headzup: Rush Damns Darfur

Radio personality Rush Limbaugh recently claimed that the reason Democrats want to pull the troops out of Iraq is because they want to get them into Darfur. He then went on to claim that the only reason they want to help the people of Darfur is because they are black, and Democrats need black people to vote for them.

Confronting the Genocide in Darfur

In 2003, the government of Sudan closed Darfur to investigators and aid workers. A year later, filmmaker Philip Cox entered the region to make this short documentary report. Film includes interviews with victims and Sudanese soldiers.


The Sudanese government has repeatedly denied that anything is going on in Darfur. Earlier this year, UN Watch confronted the leaders of Sudan and it's allies - Syria, Saudi Arabia, Algeria and China - over claims that Sudan has been vilified and that the reports of genocide and mass rape are part of a conspiracy against its government.
