Say Goodbye to Your Civil Liberties
The House passed a bill last night that will allow Bush's corrupt administration to spy on you anytime it wants to, for whatever reason it dreams up. You have no recourse. The Bill of Rights mean nothing.
Above is a clip of Representative Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) protesting the bill, and voicing the fury of the vast majority of the American people.
Why does it feel like shit is just getting worse around here?

Cheney: "I Don't Recall."
The New York Times has reported that Dick Cheney sent Alberto Gonzales and Andy Card to the hospital bed of John Ashcroft, in order to get the former Attorney General to sign off on the warrantless wire-tapping program. So, in a recent interview, CNN's Larry King asked him point blank if that report was true.
Doesn't look like Larry King's buyin' that sack of crap, either...

Latest Gonzales Hearings
In this segment of the hearings, Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) tries to get a straight answer out of Gonzales, but basically proves that he's been lying all along and that he's completely incompetent. If it weren't so awful for our nation, this would be hilarious.
And, finally, during the closing statements of the day's hearings, Chairman Senator Patrick Leahy tells Gonzales that he's lost all trust in him and that he has no credibility. And at the very end, Code Pink supporters shout for Gonzales to resign.
UPDATE: TMPTV has put together a highlight reel of all of the ugliness from yesterday's hearings. This is as beautiful as it is horrible.
