Cheney: "I Don't Recall."
The New York Times has reported that Dick Cheney sent Alberto Gonzales and Andy Card to the hospital bed of John Ashcroft, in order to get the former Attorney General to sign off on the warrantless wire-tapping program. So, in a recent interview, CNN's Larry King asked him point blank if that report was true.
Doesn't look like Larry King's buyin' that sack of crap, either...

Latest Gonzales Hearings
In this segment of the hearings, Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) tries to get a straight answer out of Gonzales, but basically proves that he's been lying all along and that he's completely incompetent. If it weren't so awful for our nation, this would be hilarious.
And, finally, during the closing statements of the day's hearings, Chairman Senator Patrick Leahy tells Gonzales that he's lost all trust in him and that he has no credibility. And at the very end, Code Pink supporters shout for Gonzales to resign.
UPDATE: TMPTV has put together a highlight reel of all of the ugliness from yesterday's hearings. This is as beautiful as it is horrible.

Comey's Damning Testimony
James B. Comey, former Deputy Attorney General, under former Attorney General John Ashcroft, testified before the Senate that some serious shadiness went down in regards to the NSA warrant-less wiretapping program. According to Comey, while Ashcroft was in the hospital suffering from severe pancreatitis back in 2004, Alberto Gonzales (then White House Counsel) and Andrew Card (then White House Chief of Staff) stormed into Ashcroft's hospital room and tried to pressure a very sick man to sign off on the wiretapping program. (Shady!!) To Ashcroft's credit, he refused, as did Comey, because the program was in clear violation of the law.
Well, it looks like the White House went ahead and continued the wiretapping program anyway, without any certification from the Department of Justice. But then, Ashcroft, Comey, their chiefs of staff, and Robert Muller, head of the FBI, all threatened to resign if the White House did not alter the program to comply with US law. To top it off, Gonzalez testified before Congress, a year ago, that there were no major concerns by anyone at the Department of Justice over this program - a flat out lie, under oath.
In an interview with Keith Olberman (linked below), Jonathan Turley, constitutional law professor at George Washington University, asserts that this is a clear impeachable offense. Under FISA, spying on citizens, without a warrant, is a felony. The President knowingly committed a crime.
