Countdown - Rewriting History
Keith Olberman & Arianna Huffington discuss Karl Rove's recent comments that the US Congress is to blame for the Iraq War and that the Bush Administration did not want them to authorize military force.
The only shocking thing, to me anyways, is that Charlie Rose didn't start singing "Liar Liar" to Rove's face.

The Price of American Blood
First to volunteer everyone but himself, FOX's Bill O'Reilly. His comments, that 1000 more dead soldiers was completely reasonable, garnered him the top spot on Countdown's Worst Person in the World tally:
Next up to talk out of his asshole, Congressman John Boehner (R-OH), who joined Wolf Blitzer on CNN's Situation Room. He claims that the blood of American soldiers is a "small price" to pay. No word on whether Rep. Boehner will be offering up any of his loved one's for the sacrifice:
And finally - topping even the craziest of the crazies - Philadelphia Daily News columnist Stu Bycofsky, who published an editorial last month entitled, To Save America, We Need Another 9/11. He even went so far as to offer terrorists a list of American monuments for them to target, like the Golden Gate Bridge and Mount Rushmore. Stephen Colbert suggested another option in this segment of The Word - Re-Run:
Unless and until these Republican sociopaths are ready to lay down their own lives in defense of their political policies, they really need to shut the fuck up.

Countdown - No Truth, No Consequences
Reporting from Ground Zero, Keith Olberman took a look at the politicians who twisted our nation's grief after 9/11 and manipulated us into a war with Iraq, and how those same loathsome politicians have not suffered any consequence for their actions.

Countdown - Drowning Dissent
Air America's Rachel Maddow stopped by Countdown to discuss the consequences of the protester manual.
It has been revealed this week that the Bush administration created and used a detailed manual to deal with protesters at presidential rallies and public events. It included guidelines on screening crowds, encouraging chants to drown out dissent and even cordoning off protesters into designated areas, out of sight of the president and the media.

Countdown - Worst Person in the World
And the winner is... FOX's own John Gibson for saying this country needs another 9/11.
Another 9/11?
As someone who lives just across town from the 6-year-old crater that once was the glorious Twin Towers, may I be the first to recommend John Gibson's neighborhood as the site of the next 9/11.
