Norman Solomon on the Glenn Beck Show
Executive Director of the Institute of Public Accuracy, Norman Solomon, appeared on the Glenn Beck Show to discuss NBC's recent on-air ass-kissing of their parent company GE. But he didn't stop there. He called out all of the major networks for not disclosing the special interests of their parent companies, including Beck's own CNN.
It's so rare we get to see anything real make it to the news channels. So savor this moment of honesty. Beck's idiotic buffoonery is just gravy.

CNN/YouTube GOP Debate Highlights
And there was also this question from retired Brigadier General Keith Kerr, who served in uniform for 43 years and came out as gay after retirement. He wanted to know if Mitt Romney stood by his claims that he looked forward to the day when gays could serve openly in the military.

Who's The Reaganiest?
In honor of tonight's Republican CNN/YouTube Debate, I thought I'd post this question submitted by Red State Update. It seems to sum up the whole of the GOP's campaign for '08.

Bush Pardoned Himself
CNN's Jack Cafferty took notice of a blurb in a recent bill that Bush proposed to the House, which would retroactively exempt him and his administration from prosecution for war crimes. This video aired just after the Congress passed the bill and before the Senate had a chance to vote on it. The Senate then went on to pass the bill as well. So, Bush has effectively granted himself immunity.

The Price of American Blood
First to volunteer everyone but himself, FOX's Bill O'Reilly. His comments, that 1000 more dead soldiers was completely reasonable, garnered him the top spot on Countdown's Worst Person in the World tally:
Next up to talk out of his asshole, Congressman John Boehner (R-OH), who joined Wolf Blitzer on CNN's Situation Room. He claims that the blood of American soldiers is a "small price" to pay. No word on whether Rep. Boehner will be offering up any of his loved one's for the sacrifice:
And finally - topping even the craziest of the crazies - Philadelphia Daily News columnist Stu Bycofsky, who published an editorial last month entitled, To Save America, We Need Another 9/11. He even went so far as to offer terrorists a list of American monuments for them to target, like the Golden Gate Bridge and Mount Rushmore. Stephen Colbert suggested another option in this segment of The Word - Re-Run:
Unless and until these Republican sociopaths are ready to lay down their own lives in defense of their political policies, they really need to shut the fuck up.

Cafferty File: Sen. Craig's Political Future
Tonight CNN's Jack Cafferty discussed the Senator Craig case and Craig's claim that he has not yet made up his mind about whether or not to run for reelection. The email question Cafferty posed to his viewers was: "How would you describe Senator Larry Craig's political future?" The responses were delicious.

Cheney: "I Don't Recall."
The New York Times has reported that Dick Cheney sent Alberto Gonzales and Andy Card to the hospital bed of John Ashcroft, in order to get the former Attorney General to sign off on the warrantless wire-tapping program. So, in a recent interview, CNN's Larry King asked him point blank if that report was true.
Doesn't look like Larry King's buyin' that sack of crap, either...
