Republicans Jumping Ship
Josh Marshall of TPMTV takes a look at all the Republicans, in both the House and the Senate, that will not be running for reelection in 2008. Looks like the Democrats have a good chance to widen their control of the government and maybe actually start to get things done. Wouldn't that be nice?

The Price of American Blood
First to volunteer everyone but himself, FOX's Bill O'Reilly. His comments, that 1000 more dead soldiers was completely reasonable, garnered him the top spot on Countdown's Worst Person in the World tally:
Next up to talk out of his asshole, Congressman John Boehner (R-OH), who joined Wolf Blitzer on CNN's Situation Room. He claims that the blood of American soldiers is a "small price" to pay. No word on whether Rep. Boehner will be offering up any of his loved one's for the sacrifice:
And finally - topping even the craziest of the crazies - Philadelphia Daily News columnist Stu Bycofsky, who published an editorial last month entitled, To Save America, We Need Another 9/11. He even went so far as to offer terrorists a list of American monuments for them to target, like the Golden Gate Bridge and Mount Rushmore. Stephen Colbert suggested another option in this segment of The Word - Re-Run:
Unless and until these Republican sociopaths are ready to lay down their own lives in defense of their political policies, they really need to shut the fuck up.

Sen. Larry Craig Voice Mail Message
Dude's either a raging idiot, or the unluckiest bastard on the face of the earth.
This is a voice mail message that disgraced Republican Senator Larry Craig left at the wrong phone number, in which he confirms the rumors that he wants to stay and fight for his senate seat.
Oh, please, Larry. Please stay and fight. Please stay in office, so that we can all mock you mercilessly for the rest of your life. Please be our human punchline. Please!!!

Warning: May Cause Blinding Rage
This is Bush's speech at the Convention of Veterans of Foreign Wars, where he made analogies between Iraq and the wars in Vietnam and Korea.
Watch with caution. You may put your fist through your computer monitor. You're at least guaranteed some heavy swearing.
Note to Congress: Do your fucking job and get this assfuck out of office today!!!

Cheney: "I Don't Recall."
The New York Times has reported that Dick Cheney sent Alberto Gonzales and Andy Card to the hospital bed of John Ashcroft, in order to get the former Attorney General to sign off on the warrantless wire-tapping program. So, in a recent interview, CNN's Larry King asked him point blank if that report was true.
Doesn't look like Larry King's buyin' that sack of crap, either...
