John Edwards on New Orleans

Presidential candidate John Edwards gave a speech the other day at Georgia South Western State University, in which he addressed the concerns about the continued devastation in New Orleans and what he planned to do, if elected. He also introduced his proposal for "Brownie's Law", which would require those who hold high level Cabinet positions to actually be qualified to do their jobs. How novel!

The Voice of the People

This was the question of the night. During tonight's ALF-CIO Democratic debate, Steve Skvara, a disabled, steel worker from Indiana, shared his heart-wrenching story of how the company he gave 34 years of his life to, forced him into retirement and slashed his pension and healthcare. Now he can no longer provide for his family.

Steve's story is the story of millions and millions of people in this country whose lives are being destroyed by corporations. And it was so moving to see someone stand up and ask the politicians what they plan to do to stop this American shame. Candidate John Edwards fields the question.

Pat Yollem - "The Ballad of Ann Coulter"

By now, you've probably heard all about how that depraved lunatic Ann Coulter insulted Former Senator and Presidential Candidate John Edwards, called for him to be killed by terrorists, made fun of his dead baby, and then got into it with his wife Elizabeth (who's struggling with cancer), on Hardball with Chris Matthews, when Elizabeth called the show and asked her nicely to please stop making fun of her dead baby and wishing death upon her husband..... Yeah. Like, yeah.

Anyway! There's this guy in Texas who wrote a lovely song about Ms. Coulter, got drunk and recorded it for all of us to enjoy. So enjoy!!
